William M. Humburg Sr.

William M. Humburg Sr., 58, of Hastings died on August 3, 2025 in Hastings. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Apfel Funeral Home in Hastings with Pastor Joel Remmers officiating. Online condolences can be sent to www.apfelfuneralhome.com.

He was born on July 25, 1967 in Lincoln, NE to Thomas and Donna Miller. On October 3, 1992 he was united in marriage to Evelyn P. Solis in San Diego, CA. The couple lived in Grand Island and Hastings where he was employed by Sunrise Express as a truck driver. He was a member of Saint Cecilia's Catholic Church in Hastings.

He is survived by his wife: Evelyn; sons: David Sanchez, of Hastings, William Humburg Jr., of Kona, HI, Seth Humburg, of Hastings; daughters: Evelyn (Terry) Brown, of Grand Island; Julia Soto, of Grand Island, Angelica Solis, of Hastings, Cassandra Humburg, of Hastings, Anastasia Humburg, of Hastings; 32 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brothers: Jim Lovorn, Bob Lovorn, George Miller; sisters: Cathy Williams, and Shelly Huff. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Paul Humburg; brother, Gary Lovorn; sister, Elaine Lovorn; grandparents; and dog, Chocolate.
