Wayne C. Porter

Wayne C. Porter, 75, of Grand Island, NE died on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, in Central City, NE. A private family graveside will be held at the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Grand Island.

Wayne was born on December 16, 1950, at Amsterdam, Missouri to Cecil and Lois June (Gregory) Porter. He grew up in Grand Island, NE. Wayne was a veteran of the Nebraska National Guard as well as a member of the American Legion. He was employed by Anderson Ford where he eventually retired. Wayne was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his two daughters: Stacia Porter and Melissa (John) Meyer both of Michigan; grandchildren: Kaylee and Riley Meyer both of Michigan; sister, Roxie Underwood of Arkansas; niece, Randa Vernon of Oklahoma and nephew, Jess Underwood of Nebraska.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents and stillborn son, Keith Porter.
