Vicki was born April 8, 1955, in Hastings, NE to Merle and Janice (Smith) Simmons. She attended Kenesaw Public Schools. Vicki was hard-working and devoted and was known for her determination and commitment to everything she did in life.
Vicki was a woman who met life head-on with sharp wit, unshakable stubbornness and sarcasm that could cut through any room and leave laughter in its wake. She would do things her way, unapologetically and completely, and expected the world to keep up. Once she set her mind on something there was absolutely no way of changing it.
Vicki loved being outside, whether it was working in the garden, doing yard work, or just hanging out with family and friends. Vicki absolutely loved every one of her grandkids and would attend any activity she could make it to.
Vicki is survived by her children: John (Shannon) Brittain of Hastings, NE, Erin (Chris) Springer of Roseland, NE, Whitney (Rob) Summers of Hastings, NE, Forrest (Kendra) Weichman of Juniata, NE; grandchildren: Josslynn, Gavin, Karlie, Brooke, Jerzey, Tyler, Jared, Landry, Reid, Colton, Gracie, Kinsley, Cael; great granddaughter, Chesney; siblings: Jeannie (Doug) Powell of Kenesaw, NE, Steve Simmons of Hemingford, NE, Bob Simmons of Bandera, TX, Randy (Cammie) Simmons of Kenesaw, NE, Angie (Tom) Uden of Shelton, NE; aunts: Sandy Snell of Kenesaw, NE, Caroline Pence of Northwood, IA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Vicki was proceeded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Stacy; and infant granddaughter, Faith.
Vicki was beloved by many and will be missed by all who knew her.
