Thelma J. Keiser

Thelma J. (Sharp) Keiser, 85, of Hansen, NE died on March 9, 2026 at her home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 16, 2026 at Apfel Funeral Home in Hastings. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Trumbull, NE. Memorials are suggested to AseraCare Hospice Care. She was born on July 16, 1940 to Veryl and June E. (Anderson) Combs in Mankato, KS. She grew up in Hardy, NE and Hastings where she received her education at Hastings High School. In 1958 she was united in marriage to Robert Bowersox in Hastings, NE. The couple had three children together. In 1976 they moved to Naples, FL. The couple later divorced.

She was united in marriage to Lowell Keiser on May 2, 1980 in Naples, FL. The couple moved to Hansen, NE in 1992. Lowell passed away on November 21, 2009. She remained in Hansen, NE until her passing.

Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, tending to her flower garden, crossword puzzles, and watching Wheel Of Fortune. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s in Hastings.

She is survived by her sons: Glen Bowersox, of Hansen, NE, Alan Bowersox, of Hansen, NE; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother: Max Sharp, Sr; sisters: Betty Adler, of Iowa, Judy Graves, of Kansas, Nancy Parsons, of Hastings.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lowell Keiser; son: Paul Bowersox; sister: Evelyn Sharp; and brother: Eugene Sharp.
