Ruth L. Schuck

Hastings resident, Ruth L. Schuck, 99, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Mary Lanning Memorial HealthCare, Hastings.

Ruth was born August 13, 1918 to Weert and Emma (Busboom) Bruns in Glenvil, NE. She attended Glenvil grade school and high school. She then attended Hastings College receiving her Bachelors Degree in Teaching. She taught school for 35 years plus. Ruth married Leonard Schuck on May 18, 1940, Leonard passed away July 18, 1979.

She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Vicki (Gary) McDonald of Richardson, TX and Raelene (Ron) Horton of Hastings, NE, 7 grandchildren, Cindi (Chris) Wood of Plano, TX, Kim (Jay) Fowler of Gretna, NE, Vonnie (Scott) Roetzel, of Grand Island, NE, Paige (Bob) Clark of Kenesaw, Amy (Josh) Russell of Hastings, Steve (Barb) Horton of Papillion, NE and Tracey (Ashley) Burns of Huntsville, AL, 14 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leonard, granddaughter, Michelle Martin, one brother, Dallas Bruns and one sister Thelma Garrelts.
