Hastings resident, Robert E. Stalnaker, 77, passed away, Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings.
Services will be at 2 pm Monday, September 8th, 2014 at Apfel Funeral Chapel with Rev. Joel Remmers officiating. With military rites outside the chapel. There will be no visitation. Apfel Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Condolences may be sent to www.apfelfuneralhome.com
Memorials may be given to the family.
Robert was born December 1, 1936 to Eugene Za and Alma (Blomstedt) in Grand Island, NE. He served in the United States Navy from August 2, 1954 to May 21, 1958.
He is survived by three sons, Michael Stalnaker of Omaha, NE, and Douglas Stalmaker of Garden Grove, TX, and Robert Jr. Stalnaker and one daughter Michelle Stalnaker of Alda, NE, 11 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, two brothers, Dan Stalnaker of Omaha, NE and David Stalnaker of Oregon, and one sister Sande Stalnaker of Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Caroline Hochstetler and one brother, Ronald Stalnaker.
