Richard "Rick" Veno

Richard (Rick) Veno, age 60, tragically passed away December 27, 2022, due to an unexpected heart attack. He and his wife Karla were returning home from a joyful Christmas holiday in Wisconsin when he died in Nebraska.

Rick was born in Bangor Maine to Richard and Theora Veno. His parents moved to Denver, Colorado in 1967 where Rick spent his formative growing years until his untimely death. He attended Regis High School and though he had a very devilish nature with teachers, he graduated from Regis receiving an Eisenhower Evans scholarship award to the University of Colorado. Rick did not complete his education at the University but did graduate from AreoTech Aeronautics. This provided the base for his future career and as the business owner of Aspenleaf Mechanical, Westminster, Colorado.

Rick was an energetic, fun loving, giving man who was loved by many and will be missed dearly by all who knew him. Rick was an avid sportsman in hunting, fishing, golfing and sharing those interests with friends and family especially his wife and son. He had a special fondness for naming his trophies and proudly displays them at his Cabin.

Rick is survived by his wife Karla (the love of his life), two daughters, Crystal and Danyel, a son Anthony (Nicole), two stepsons, Jack and Nick, and 5 grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, brother Daniel and sister Kristine.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts are made to the Richard A. Veno Memorial Fund established at FirstBank (donations can be made by mailing a check to FirstBank, 5125 S. Kipling, Littleton, CO 80127 or via Zelle at Venomemorial@gmail.com). The fund will support Harmony Foundation where Rick found new life in sobriety 8 years ago.

Service will be held at the Abiding Hope Church, 6337 S. Robb Way, Littleton, Colorado 80127 on January 5, 2023 at 11 am for family and friends. Luncheon will follow the service.
