Services are 10:30 AM Saturday, August 30, 2008 at Christ Lutheran Church with Rev. Gregory Volzke. Burial will be at Concordia Cemetery in Juniata, NE. Visitation 9 AM to 9 PM, Thursday, Friday 9 AM to 9 PM with family present from 6:30 to 8 PM at the Jackson-Wilson Funeral Home in Kenesaw, NE. Also one hour prior to service at Christ Lutheran Church. Memorials go to Christ Lutheran Church or family. Paul R. Struss was born March 3, 1922 to Richard and Olga (Potratz) Struss on a farm near Kenesaw, NE He was baptized on March 26, 1922 and confirmed on May 17, 1936 at Christ Lutheran Church of rural Juniata. He went to grade school at Christ Lutheran School and graduated from Juniata High School in 1940. He married Geraldine Cornelius on November 1, 1942 at Christ Lutheran Church near Juniata. He enjoyed farming, livestock and his horses. He loved music and played the accordion in Black Derby Band, with friends. He was a lifelong member of Christ Lutheran Church. He was on Christ Lutheran school board and mens choir at Christ Lutheran church. He was a member of the American Paint Horse Assoc. and the American Quarter Horse Assoc.
