Nicholas Joseph Kelley

Nicholas “Nick” Joseph Kelley, 44, of Valley, NE died on November 17, 2025, in Omaha, NE. A Memorial Service will be at 10:30 AM on Monday, December 8, 2025, at Apfel Funeral Home in Kenesaw, NE with Pastor Kathy Uldrich officiating. Burial will follow in the Kenesaw Cemetery. Nick was born on May 20, 1981, in Kearney, NE to Don Kelley Jr. and Patricia “Trish” Schneider. He attended Elkhorn Public Schools.

He operated heavy equipment around the Omaha and Council Bluffs area. Nick prided himself in his skills and abilities when it came to running an excavator. He enjoyed playing cards, especially the game “Omaha” and was well known at the casino.

Nick is survived by his mother, Trish Schneider of Kenesaw, NE; sister, Jamie Schneider of Omaha, NE; nieces: Ashleigh (Tyler) Casper and Abby VanBlarcom; and his very loved dog, Allie.

He is preceded in death by his father; maternal grandparents, Erwin and Pauline Schneider; and paternal grandparents, Don and Kate Kelley.
