Melissa Lonowski

Melissa M. Lonowski, 62, of Hordville, NE died on Friday, October 2, 2026 at the Kearney Regional Medical Center. A visitation will be held at Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island from 3-6 PM on Friday, October 9, 2026.

She was born on May 28, 1964 at Grand Island, NE to Joe and Judy (Millspaugh) Reha. She grew up in Grand Island and received her education at Grand Island Central Catholic.

She was united in marriage to Mike Lonowski in Grand Island. After which the couple moved to Lexington, NE where Melissa enjoyed being a housewife, and held various part time jobs throughout her life. The couple later divorced and Melissa returned to the Grand Island area. Later settling in Hordville, NE with her significant other.

She enjoyed crafting, gardening, her plants, and especially spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Rick Reha of Grand Island, Krista Kallos (Luke Farrell) of Lexington, Aaron Reha of Holdrege, Mollie Kallos (AJ Davenport) of Overton, and Timothy Lonowski of Grand Island; grandchildren: Lannie Jurgens, Eli Reha, David Cramer, Cameron (Katie) Gibbons, Cayden Gibbons, Kaitlyn Farrell, Osmand Lonowski, Karma and Serenity Beck, Faith Baker, and Timmy Lonowski Jr; great grandchildren, Maverick Lade and Lincoln Reha; her siblings, Maletta (Gordon) Canfield and Joe Reha; and ex-husband, Michael Lonowski of Lexington.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ray and Ed; grandsons Paul Kallos and Ricky Reha Jr, and her signifcant other, Reginald "Reg" Spence.
