Mark A. Petersen, 78 of Grand Island died Friday, June 22, 2012 at the VA Medical Center in Grand Island. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Apfel Funeral Home with the Rev. Harvey Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Island. Visitation hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Messiah Lutheran Church. Apfel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
