Magdalena Aluku Oyemu, 60, of Grand Island died Sunday, August 23, 2015, at CHI Health St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island.
Local funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 29, 2015, at St. Mary's Cathedral in Grand Island. The Rev. Richard Piontkowski will celebrate the Mass of the Resurrection.
Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until service time Saturday at the church.
Magdalena's journey continues as her body will be returned to South Sudan to be buried alongside her husband.
