Lynn E. Chrisp

Lynn E. Chrisp, 73, of Hastings, NE died on Monday, January 5, 2026, in Elkhorn, NE with family by his side. A Memorial Service will be at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2026, at the Evangelical Free Church in Hastings with Reverend Dale Phillips officiating. A private family burial will take place at the Kenesaw Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7p.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Apfel Funeral Home in Kenesaw. Lynn was born on September 4, 1952, in Arnold, NE to Dean and Ruth (Romans) Chrisp. He was united in marriage to Michele Bohlke on June 14, 1975. They farmed on the family farm until he retired a few years ago. 

He served on many boards and committees over the years. He was a long time member of the Nebraska Corn Growers Association. He was elected to the Board of Directors for the National Corn Growers Association, where he served as President in 2018-2019.

After all these accomplishments, his crowning achievement was raising their four children: Amy, Holly, Brandon, and Nathan. He was proud to see them all come to know Jesus as Savior. 

He is survived by his wife of 50 years: Michele; daughters: Amy (Jeff) Hemje, Holly (Brian) Schoenecker; sons: Brandon (Jessi) Chrisp, Nathan (Brooke) Chrisp; 10 grandchildren who brough much joy to his life: Brayden, Corban, Cale, Cade, Henry, Jack, Cora, Bria, Selah, and Parker. 

Lynn was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
