Lyle 'Tim' Kennedy

Hastings resident, Lyle Tim Kennedy, 62 of 1010 South Hastings #2, died Sunday, June 1, 2008 at his home due to cancer. Services will be Friday, June 6th, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the All Saints Chapel, GSV, Hastings, NE, with Father Troy Schweiger officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE with military rites. Visitation will be Thursday, June 5th, 2008, from 12 noon to 9 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home and Cremation, Hastings, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Tim was born, January 29, 1946 to Roy Sr. and Opal (Kingrey) Kennedy, in Hastings, NE. He was a Vietnam veteran, and served in Army in the First Air Calvary from May 13, 1969 to April 17, 1970. He worked at City Iron and Metal from 1987 to 1997. He retired in March from Werner Construction as a lab technician. He was a former member of the VFW and Elks Club. He loved racing, fishing, and golf. He is survived by, 1 son, John Kennedy and 1 daughter, Melissa (Kennedy) Hunt and husband Jason all of Hastings, NE. 4 brothers, Jake, Norm and Milt Kennedy all of Hastings, NE and Dean Kennedy of Deweese, NE. 2 sisters, Dorothy Cline of Hastings, NE and Linda Roth of Lincoln, NE. 7 grandchildren, Taylor, Jack, Erin, Hogan, Dylan, Drew and Danielle. And many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Memorials may be given to families choice.
