Lois J. Bradley

Lois J. Bradley, 90, of Grand Island, NE died on Monday, May 25, 2026 at CHI Health St. Francis.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Monday, June 1, 2026 at the St. Libory Catholic Church with Fr. Sid Bruggeman officiating. Burial will be in the Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Rockville, NE. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 PM on Sunday, May 31st at Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island. Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.

Lois was born on January 14, 1937 in Loup City, Nebraska to Leo Bonczynski and Bertha Kalkowski. She grew up in Rockville and received her education from Rockville High School. She then went to Kearney State college and received her teachers degree and taught for a while after graduation.

She was united in marriage to L.G. Bradley on November 17, 1973 in Tucson, Arizona. After which the couple lived in Grand Island where she worked for the Nebraska Department of Revenue.

She was a member of the St. Libory Catholic Church. She loved cooking, gardening, and being with family. Her grandchildren were one of her greatest joys.

She is survived by her husband, L.G. Bradley; sons, Michael, Scott, and Mark Bradley; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; and her brother, Donald Bonczynski.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Donna Wiley.
