Grand Island, Nebraska resident Leroy Wayne Vanosdall, 67, passed away Monday, June 30, 2025, at his home. In honoring his wishes to be cremated, there will be no viewing or visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. Details will be released soon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family to be designated at a later date.

Leroy was born to Wayne and Bernice (Sullivan) Vanosdall on August 2, 1957. He was the only son and baby of the family. In his early years, he worked alongside his father as co-owners of Vanosdall Sanitation, then studied as an electrical apprentice. In most recent years he was employed as a truck driver in various capacities and especially enjoyed his work at Rick Johnson Cartage. He was a lifelong motorcycle enthusiast. He was also a proud supporter of Nebraska Huskers, always wearing Husker gear. He loved to cook and of course, he relished the time spent with his 2 children and 6 grandchildren.

He is survived by daughter, Tiffany (Brad) Hofmann of Sutton, Nebraska and son, John (Sam) Vanosdall of Lincoln; grandchildren: Braxton and Parker Hofmann, Cali, Peyton, Austyn, and Iverson Vanosdall. He is also survived by his sisters: Kathie (Ken) Hopkins of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, Sandy Vanosdall of Grand Island, Nebraska, and Pam Woodward of Gulfport, Florida, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Bernice Vanosdall.
