Laurence W. Owens

Laurence Weldon Owens, known as "Larry", 50, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025, at his home in Hastings. Memorials are suggested to the family. Online condolences can be sent to www.apfelfuneralhome.com.

Larry was born on March 4, 1975, in Dallas, Texas to Winifred and Sharon (McDuffie) Owens. He had six brothers and sisters in which Kevin and Amanda preceded him in death. Larry graduated high school in Breckenridge, Texas in 1994. After high school, Larry moved to Hastings, where he married Angelica Esquavel in August of 2005. They had three children.

Larry had a long career of customer service and making pizzas. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching movies (Star Trek and Star Wars!), and reading.

Larry is survived by his father: Fred; wife: Angelica; his children: Maggie Weldon, Angelika (Geli) Weldon, and Cole Goben; his granddaughter: Ellianna (Ellie); siblings: Mickey Wicker, of Hastings, Tana Teichman, of Cleburne, TX, Alan Owens, of Boulder, CO, Josh Owens, of Hastings; and many nieces and nephews.
