Larry Braman

July 12, 1941 — December 11, 2016

Larry E. Braman, 75 of Wood River, died Sunday, December 11, 2016 at the Kearney Regional Medical Center.



Services will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Third City Christian Church in Grand Island. Pastor Josh Sikes and Pastor Mark Baldwin will be officiating. Interment will be in the Cameron Cemetery.



Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. Friday, December 16, 2016 at Apfel Funeral Home in Wood River. Memorials are suggested in lieu of flowers to the Third City Christian Church Youth Group, Wood River Fire and Rescue, or to the family to be designated at a later date.



Larry was born on July 12, 1941 in Omaha, Nebraska to Elmer and Nevella (Honaker) Braman. He grew up in Omaha and graduated from Omaha Technical High School in 1959. He was united in marriage to Dona Milligan on December 17, 1960 in Omaha, Nebraska. Larry was first employed as a draftsman for MUD, then as a rancher, a Mac tools salesman, Lilley Sand-Gravel and Redi mix, and most recently, the Hall County Highway Department.



He was a member of Third City Christian Church. Together the couple enjoyed dancing, camping, playing cards, and attending their grandchildrens events. He also enjoyed hunting, night fishing, and construction work.



Survivors include his wife, Dona; children and their spouses, Lora and Craig Harders of Wood River, Larry and Nancy Braman of Paola, KS, LaDona and Bob Lilley of Palmyra, NE, Loren and Cindy Braman of Mitchell, NE, Linda and Mark Baldwin of Ogallala, NE; grandchildren and their spouses, Jessica and Ryan Marsh, Jeremy Molnar, Keith and Sheyanne Harders, Kylee Lilley, Kevin Harders, Karl Lilley, Kurt and Danielle Harders, Zachary Molnar, Nathaniel Baldwin, Taran and Lakin Braman, Garret Braman; great-grandchildren, Lilly Molnar, Silas Marsh, Adelyn Harders; sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Jerry Carroll of Lincoln; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dillard and Marie Milligan of Omaha; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Penny and Ken Lewis of North Bend, NE.



Larry was preceded in death by his parents.
