Kenneth Lowell Bartlett, 75, of Harvard, Nebraska died Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at the Grand Island Regional Medical Center, Grand Island, NE. Funeral Services will be Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Harvard United Church of Christ, 206 South Adams Ave, Harvard, Nebraska with Pastor Dave Johnson officiating. Interment will be in the Harvard Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Harvard United Church of Christ, Friday May 2, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with family present during this time.

Pallbearers are: Jeffrey and Timothy Scheierman, Scott Bartlett, Ronnie Miles, Bernard Judy, and Alvin Kamphaus. Soloist, Mari Beth Hamburger.

Ken was born on August 24, 1949 near Riverview, Nebraska the 7th child born to Roy and Esther Pearl (Christensen) Bartlett. He grew up in Riverview and Harvard. He received his education both in a country school near Riverview and at Harvard Public School. In his younger years he enjoyed roller skating and bowling. He helped take care of his disabled brother and was a great help to his widowed mother. Ken loved people, family, friends, and even strangers he met along life’s journey.

He worked most of his adult as a meat cutter; first at the Thrifty Superette and Etherton’s, both in Harvard. He then cut meat for Brown’s Thrift Store in Sutton. After his meat cutting career, he worked at Walmart in York. After retiring he did handy man jobs, such as painting houses, around the Grafton area. He lived his life in the Riverview area, Harvard, and Grafton.

Ken is survived by his life partner of thirty years, Elizabeth “Beth” Uden of Grafton, brother, Harold Bartlett and sister, Ruby (Darrel) Adam, sisters-in-law, Letha, Patricia, and Sharon Bartlett. Beth’s daughter, Mickey (Jerry) Anderson, Beth’s son-in-law Ted Windecker, grandsons, Eric (Shelly), Joel (Jessica) and Milo, seven nephews, six nieces, several great nieces/nephews, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by; his parents, brothers, Robert “Gene”, Russell. Marvin, Larry, and Donald Bartlett, sister-in-law, Levina “Jeannie” Bartlett, nieces, Letha Jean (Jeanie) McIntosh and Stacy Lynn Bartlett, great nephew, Caden Bartlett and Beth’s daughter, Heidi Windecker.

Apfel Funeral Home of Hastings is assisting the family with arrangements.
