Karen (Long) Davis, 75, of Ravenna, Nebraska, passed away on November 18, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 5, 1950, in Grand Island, Nebraska, to Karl and Agnes (Sorby) Long. Karen graduated from Centura High School in 1967, and married John Davis on December 20, 1967, at St. Mary's Cathedral in Grand Island.
Karen had a special eye for beauty and loved capturing life’s simple wonders through photography. She was also an avid collector of unique treasures—each a reflection of her joyful spirit. Known also for her thoughtful gift giving, Karen had a talent for choosing presents that perfectly reflected each recipient’s personality. Her keen sense of style extended to her home, where she created warm, inviting spaces filled with charm. Karen will be remembered for her kind nature and gentle humor. As a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she placed family at the heart of everything and will be missed by all.
Karen is survived by her husband, John Davis, brother, Karl Long, and sister, Kay (Jerry) DeMuth; her children, Lisa Waddell (Brian Nuding) of Fremont, Cathy Weiss (Dale Ehrman) of Holstein, Matt Davis (Jessica Ryther) of Gibbon, and Jeff (Angela) Davis of Gibbon. And her grandchildren: Cheyenne (Elani) Hoffman, Alannah (Bradley) VanWinkle, Jacob Davis, Cassidy Weiss (Kyle Fye), Dakota Waddell, Jordan Davis (Kyle Doty), Shelby Davis (Agustin Ruvalcaba), Samuel (Jami) Waddell, Dylan (Hadlee) Davis, and Willow Davis, along with many great-grandchildren.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Karl and Agnes Long; her brother, Robert Long; and her grandson, Wyatt Davis.
