Juan Olivo

Juan L. Olivo, 89, of Grand Island, died Sunday, December 28, 2025, at CHI Health St. Francis.

A celebration of life will be held in June 2026, more details to come.

Mr. Olivo was born on Jan. 7,1936 in Alice, Texas to Juan G. and Elena L. Olivo. The family moved to Grand Island in 1954.

Survivors include two sisters, Mary Garcia of Wood River, NE and Sandy Rush of Spring Branch, TX; and one brother, Ruben Olivo of Grand Island, NE; one daughter, Annette Santamaria of Chicago, IL.; two sons, Juan L. Olivo Jr. of Council Bluffs, IA and Joseph Olivo of Texarkana, Arkansas; multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by both parents, 4 brothers, one sister and his companion Carol Albertus.
