She was born on May 11, 1954 in Hastings to Marvin Sparks and Donna Sprinkle. She grew up in Grand Island and received her education at Grand Island Senior High School. In August of 1972 she was united in marriage to Michael Ogle in Grand Island. The couple lived in Riverside, CA and Pine Bluff, AR. She worked at Stant Manufacturing, KLM Trucking, and Armour Meat Company.

Joellen enjoyed gardening and building computers. She also never missed her favorite soap opera, “Days of our Lives.”

She is survived by her sons: Michael A. Ogle, of Henning, MN; Scott Ogle, of Juniata, NE; daughters: Tracy J. Eberlein, of Juniata, NE; Ginger A. Ogle, of Kenesaw, NE; three grandchildren; one great-granchild; brother Jamie Sparks; and sister, Kathleen Haumont.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin Sparks and Donna Sprinkle; and her husband Michael Ogle.
