Herbert Hopkins

Herbert Hopkins, Sr, 88, of Grand Island went to his heavenly rest on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at his home. A gathering of friends and family will be 1:00 PM Sunday, April 30, 2023, at the Skyline Pub at Fonner Park. Apfel Funeral Home is assisting the family. Burial will be at Omaha National Cemetery. Herbert was born August 31, 1934, in Oklahoma City, OK. He entered the United States Army on November 7, 1956, and was honorably discharged on November 6, 1958.

Survivors include children: Herbert Hopkins, Jr. of Norfolk, NE, Brenda Ennis of Salt Lake City, UT, Eunitta Payton of Omaha, NE, Brian Hopkins of Lincoln, NE, Kelli Hopkins of Lincoln, NE, Jackie Hopkins of Grand Island, NE, and Michael Tomlinson of Grand Island; and brother, George Davis, Jr. of Oklahoma City, OK.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Charles Hopkins.
