Gary F Larson

Gary F. Larson, 74, of Grand Island, NE passed away on Monday, June 1, 2026 at his home.

Services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, June 6, 2026 in Gollaher Chapel at Trinity United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM on Friday, June 5th at Apfel Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Heartland CASA. 

Gary was born on November 10, 1951 in Springfield, Massachusetts to Howard and Gwen Larson.

He entered the Army on December 21, 1970 and served until May 31, 1974 when he was honorably discharged.

He worked as a car salesman for Paul Spady for 25 years.

He enjoyed going to car shows and showing off his ‘56 Nomad. He was proud of his sons, Jason, Braden and Erik. He was especially proud of his grandson, Keegan, who he enjoyed watching play baseball and see what artwork he created next.

He is survived by his life partner, Debbie Ritter; sons, Jason Larson; step sons, Braden Hobbs and Erik Ritter; daughter, Charity Larson; grandchildren, Keegan Ritter, Alex and Alexis Larson, Crew and Emerson Hobbs, and Tristian Larson; and his brother, Dan (Pat) Larson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandchildren, Jayden and Adrian Ritter, and an ex-wife, Mary Ellen Larson.
