Florence E. Woodward

Florence E. Woodward, 87, of Hastings, NE died on March 4, 2025, at her home following a long battle with Mantle cell lymphoma. A private family burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Hastings. A Celebration of Life will be held at the DAV in Hastings on March 15, 2025, at 1:00 PM.

Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation. Apfel Funeral Home is helping the family with arrangements.

Florence was born on December 27, 1937, in Fairmont, MN to John and Hazel (Austin) Weis. She grew up in Fairmont, MN, Kansas City, MO, and Belvidere, NE. She graduated from school in Belvidere.

She was united in marriage to Ernest Krueger on August 7, 1955, in Glenvil, NE. They had four children. She later married John Woodward on April 24, 1976.

She is survived by her son Terry (Sandra) Krueger; daughters, Debra (Lonnie) Whitten, Dara (Mike) Brown; stepsons, Dan Woodward, Brad Woodward, Jim Woodward; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers; husband, John; daughter, Diana Krueger; and grandson, Seth Brown.
