Dorothy M. Partridge, 83, died on April 22, 2024, at Saunders County Care Home in Wahoo, NE.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 3, 2024, at Apfel Funeral Home in Wood River, NE with Pastor Geoffrey officiating. Burial will follow in the Wood River Cemetery. Reception to follow at Babel Barn after the burial service.

She was born on October 18, 1940 in North Loup, Nebraska to Forrest and Viola (Tracy) Hill. She had lived in 21 different Nebraska cities and graduated from Grand Island Senior High in 1959. She moved to Wood River and lived there since 1962. She was united in marriage to Larry Partridge on September 24, 1960 in Nashau, Iowa. The couple made their home in Wood River where Dorothy had owned her own café, Dorothys Café.

She was a member of the Wood River United Methodist Church and the Eagles. She enjoyed making pine needle baskets.

Survivors include her son, Don (Susan) Partridge of Ashland, NE; 4 Grandchildren, Shelby, Brock, Madison and Luke. Six Great Grandchildren. Sisters, Norma Trosper of Grand Island, NE, Linda Olson of Lincoln, NE, Helen (Tom) Pheiffer of Montgomery, AL; Lois (Tom) Harris of Benson, AZ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Niema Kuster, and Brothers James Hill and Harold Hill
