Deloris Jean Torske, age 88, of Kenesaw, Nebraska, passed away December 6, 2025, at Mary Lanning Hospital. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 12, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Kenesaw with Pastor Paul Duffy officiating. Burial will follow in the Kenesaw Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, December 11, at Apfel Funeral Home in Kenesaw. Online condolences may be sent to www.apfeluneralhome.com.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Deloris’s memory to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
She was born on August 15, 1937, in Hastings, NE, to Erick and Ida (Witte) Jacobitz. Deloris grew up on the family farm in Kenesaw and received her education at Kenesaw Public Schools. She was united in marriage to Gale Torske on October 6, 1955, in Denver, CO. After which the couple lived near Kenesaw, NE.
Deloris was a homemaker for her family and later worked at the Heritage National Bank for 20 years. She was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid. She enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling.
In addition to her parents, Deloris was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Gale, her sister Leonette and brother Eldon.
She is survived by three sons Steve (Melody) Torske of Lincoln, NE, Darryl (Tonya) Torske of Linden, TN, and Mike Torske of Hastings, NE. Grandchildren Kayla (Justin) Sellhorn and Ashley Torske of Lincoln, NE. Andrea (Dan Hildebrand)Torske of Broomfield, CO, Allen (Dagny) Torske of Flower Mound TX, Autumn (Michael) Tockey of Australia, and KyAnn (David) Curtis of Hastings, NE. Great grandchildren, Trinity, Grayson and Rylee Tockey, Talexander and Mazarae Hogan, Natalie Torske, McKenzie and Adalyn Sellhorn and Finley Torske.
