David Lee Hansen, 66, of Wood River died on Thursday, October 9, 2025 in Wood River.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island with Derek Apfel, CFC officiating. Burial will take place in the Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul, NE. Visitation will be an hour prior to the start of the services.
David was born on October 6, 1959 in Newton, IA to Albert “Mervin” and Bonnie (Jepson) Hansen. He grew up in Holdrege, NE receiving his education from Holdrege Public Schools.
He is survived by his son, Derek Hansen; one grandson, Bradlee; brothers, Derrin (Vicki) Hansen and Ted (Deb) Hansen; sister, Teresa (Rod) Rozanek and many neices and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother.
