Cody Alan Kroeger, 36, of Grand Island, NE, died on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at UNMC in Omaha. Funeral Services will be at 10:30AM on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island with Derek Apfel, CFC officiating. Burial will follow in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 5-7PM at Apfel Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.
Cody was born on August 1, 1989, in Grand Island to Alan and Shelly (Schwietzer) Kroeger. He grew up in Grand Island and graduated from Northwest High School.
He is survived by his parents, Alan and Christy Kroeger; brother, Tyler Kroeger; dog, Stella; grandfather, Leroy Schwietzer; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Cody is preceded in death by his mom, Shelly; grandparents: Henry and Ann Kroeger and Jose Rodriquez.
