Brett Matthew Darrough

Brett Matthew Darrough of Grand Island, NE died on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at his home. A Celebration of Life will be at 6PM on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at the VFW in Grand Island. Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.

Brett was born on November 30, 1973, at Hastings, NE and grew up in Grand Island, NE. He attended West Lawn Elementary, Walnut Junior High, and graduated from Grand Island Senior High.

He was married to Becky (Ensz) Darrough on June 22, 2002, at the United Methodist Church. After which they lived in Grand Island, NE and eventually built their dream home in St. Libory, NE.

Brett enjoyed camping, boating, time with his family and friends, and being a papa.

He is survived by his wife, Becky Darrough, daughters: Kayla Darrough (Dylan Kemmet) and Maddie Darrough (Rylan Palu); son, Aiden Darrough, sisters: Bethany Darrough and Brooke Nelson; nephew, Zach Darrough; father, Robert Darrough; grand daughter, Kaisley; and soon to be grandson, Noah.
