Arlene and Roger celebrated their 50th year of wedded bliss this year. They also enjoyed spending time with their two grandsons, babysitting them, watching them debate each other, watching and cheering them on at sporting events, and playing board games.

Arlene was a lifelong Charter member of Alpha Delta Kappa in Hastings until her passing.

Arlene enjoyed teaching and seeing children advance in their math knowledge. She loved seeing her students after they graduated and catching up with them and reminiscing about their days together in school.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, brother Vernon “Buzz” Hartman, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Roger and Marlys (Geitz) McFerren, nephew Ronald McFerren.
