Arden Leon Trueman

Arden L. Trueman, 74, of Grand Island, Ne died on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at his home. A Memorial Service will be at 11 AM on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Apfel Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow at the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.

Arden was born on August 8, 1950, in Grand Island, NE to Raymond and Elaine (Cheney) Trueman. He grew up in Grand Island and attended Grand Island Public Schools and Hastings Community College.

He was united in marriage to Betty Sandquist on December 29, 1973, at Trinity United Methodist Church. After which the couple remained in Grand Island.

Arden enjoyed tinkering on projects, watching old westerns, and spending time with cherished friends and family.

He is survived by his children: Ryan Trueman, Travis (Lillie) Trueman, Andrew (Kylie) Trueman, and Sally (Nicholas) Grandon; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, LaDonna (Don) Scheel; and sister-in-law, Cherel Trueman.

Arden is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Vaughn Trueman; wife, Betty Trueman; and grandchildren: Ethan and Arianne Grandon.
