Tim I. Meyer, 63 of Grand Island, NE passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 in Grand Island.



A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Peace Lutheran Church in Grand Island with Pastor Luke Biggs officiating. Burial of ashes will be at a later date in the Ohiowa Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM Friday, May 20th at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.



Tim was born on September 30, 1958 in St. Paul, NE to H. Robert and Jane (Johnson) Meyer. He grew up in the St. Libory and Worms area. He was baptized and confirmed in the Zion Lutheran Church in Worms. He graduated from Palmer High School with the Class of 1977. After graduation he entered the Air Force on December 27, 1977. Serving in Korea, Egypt and Belize before his retirement from the Air Force on December 31, 1997.



He was united in marriage to Shellie Wulf on June 6, 1998 in the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ohiowa, NE. Afterwhich the coupled lived in Grand Island where he was employed by Dag Hellsten Construction before working many years for FedEx.



He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and the Palmer Legion. He enjoyed woodworking, sports, history, political conversations with his son, mowing, helping at various church events and enjoyed anything that involved his family.



He is survived by his wife, Shellie Meyer; sons, Matthew and Mark Meyer; sisters, Rebecca (Alan) Wissing, Mary Beth (Tom) Tesmer, and Alice (Dan) Hodges; in-laws, Robert and Louise Wulf; brothers-in-law, Brian Wulf, and Aaron (Jennifer) Wulf; numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.



He was preceded in death by his parents.
