At Our Jackson-Wilson Location, Kenesaw, NE. Holstein resident, Steven Craig Wengler, 49 died Friday June 13, 2008 at Mary Lanning Hospital in Hastings. Services are 10:00 A.M. Thursday June 19, 2008 at United Methodist Church in Holstein with Pastor Trudy Hanke officiating. Burial will be at Holstein Cemetery in Holstein. Book Signing will be Wednesday June 18, 2008 from 9a.m. to 9 p.m. at Jackson-Wilson Funeral Home in Kenesaw. Memorials go to Family Choices. Steve was born November 1, 1958 to Dale E. & Darlene (lang) Wengler in Hastings, Nebraska. He graduated from Minden High School in 1977. He worked for Continental Grain for 20 years and then retired. Steve married Betty Bombeck July 29, 1995 in Shelton, NE. Steve & Betty became owner of CowTown Saloon in Holstein in 1996. They moved to Holstein then. Steve is survived by his Mother Darlene of Holstein, his wife Betty of Holstein,2-stepchildren: Jeff (Lichelle) Bombeck of Shelton & Lynette Stubblefield of Kearney, 4-stepgrandchildren: Matt, Mike, Trevor, Bailey Bombeck of Shelton, 5-Brothers: Wesley (Linda) Wengler of Blue Hill, Gerald Wengler of Campbell, Harry Wengler of Holstein, Roger (Bea) Wengler of Holstein, Kenny Patro of Ark. 1-Sister: Marcy (Fred) Podewitz of Ozark, MO. Many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by Hi Father Dale E. Wengler, Grandparents: Albert & Jeanette Lang.
