Shirlee Lave Reiman

Hastings resident, Shirlee LaVe Reiman, 74, died Monday, February 2, 2009 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings, NE. Service will be Thursday, February 5, 2009 at 2 PM at the Brand-Wilson Chapel, Hastings, NE with the Rev. Jim Garfield officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Hastings; NE. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 4, 2009 from 12 noon to 9 PM with the family present from 5 PM to 7 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE, Thursday, February 5, 2009 from 9 AM up till service time at the chapel. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Shirlee was born July 12, 1934 to Alvin and Alice (Slater) Hachtel in Hastings, NE. She graduated from Harvard High School in 1952. She married Porter Reiman on November 16, 1963. She has lived in Hastings since 1963. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Aurora; NE. Shirlee was a caregiver for several families. Shirlee was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was an avid gardener; she loved beautiful flowers and she loved being outdoors. Shirlee and Porter did a lot of traveling and camping before her illness. She is survived by her husband Porter, of Hastings, 1 daughter Kimberly Setina and husband James of Arcadia, KS. 2 grandchildren, Ashlee and Aaron Setina of Arcadia, KS. 2 sisters, Sharon Greenlee and husband Roger of Denton, TX, and Sharol Raines of Pensacola, FL, 3 brothers, Robert Hachtel and wife Retta of Longview, TX, Don Hachtel and wife Sharon of Hastings, NE, and Dennis Hachtel and wife Janet of Harvard, NE. And several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 brothers- in- laws, George Reiman Jr. and James Raines, and 1 niece Crystal Greenlee. Memorials may be given to the Assembly of God Church in Aurora, NE. The family would like to thank the Mary Lanning Hospital, staff, doctors and hospice for providing care during her illness.
