Ruby Defaun Evans

Roseland resident, Ruby DeFaun Evans, 93, passed away April 3, 2014 at Mary Lanning Memorial HealthCare, Hastings, NE.

Services will be Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 10:30 am at the Juniata United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Lee Wigert officiating. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in the Juniata Cemetery. Arrangements by the Apfel Funeral Home, Hastings. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.apfelfuneralhome.com.

Memorials may be given to the Juniata Methodist Church.

Ruby was born November 23, 1920 to Cyril Glenn and Gertrude (Larson) Boswell in Ong, NE. She married Carl M. Evans on June 26, 1944 in Hastings, Carl passed away September 10, 1988. Ruby was a homemaker.

She is survived by her son, Warren (Pat) Evans of Ayr, NE, four grandchildren, Bryce (Amy) Evans of McCook, NE, Renae (Kurt) Griess, Mark Evan and Shayne Evans both of Roseland, NE, 7 great grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Virginia Boswell and four nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carl, brother, Lorn Boswell and sister DeLoris Batterman.
