Hastings resident Phyllis Marie (Schriner) Warriner, 78, of 2226 Boyce, died Saturday, November 4, 2006 at her home. Graveside service will be Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at 10 AM the Greenwood Cemetery, in Franklin, NE. Memorial service will be Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at 2PM at the North Shore Assembly of God Church, in Hastings, NE, with the Rev. Tony Anderson and Rev. Millard Huett officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 7, 2006 from 9 AM to 9 PM with the family present from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE. Mrs. Warriner was born, September 20, 1928 to Charles Earl and Viola Frances (Phillips) Schriner in Wymore, NE. She grew up in and attended school in Riverton, NE where she lived with her fraternal grandparents. She married her childhood sweetheart, Glenn D. Warriner on June 17, 1945 in Riverton; he died, July 11, 2006. They lived several places in Franklin County before moving to Hastings in 1952. She worked at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, the Mary Lanning School of Nursing, and retired from the Family Medical Center in 1991. Following her retirement she was employed at Ohlson Jewelry Design, Hastings, NE. She was an active member of the North Shore Assembly of God Church in Hastings, NE, serving as a Junior Girls Sunday School teacher, Missionettes leader and director, choir director, Womans Ministries director and wedding coordinator and Keenagers founder and leader. She is survived by her children, Carol Albin and husband Bob of Moorhead, Minnesota, Earl and wife Kathy of Hastings, NE, Bobbi Price and husband Randy of Leander, TX, and Stephen and wife Melanie of Grand Island, NE. 10 grandchildren and their spouses, and 10 great grandchildren. 1 sister, Mary Woodcock and husband Chuck of Lincoln, NE, 1 brother, Darryl Schriner and wife Paula of Orchard, CO, 2 sister-in-laws, Chris Schriner of North Platte, NE and Ruby Akers of Ashland, NE and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Glenn, her parents, and 5 brothers, Dale Schriner, John, Steve, Robert and Richard Akers. Memorials may be given to the North Shore Assembly of God Church building fund.
