Patricia Pauletta Lampman

Hastings resident, Patricia Pauletta Lampman, 92, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2015 at the Harvard Rest Haven, Harvard, NE.

Services will be at 10:30 am, Thursday, July 2, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church, Hastings with Rev. Greg Lindenberger officiating. Visitation will be from 6 pm to 8 pm with the family present at the Apfel Funeral Home, Hastings. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Hastings with military rites.

Memorials may be given to the 1st Methodist Church or the Hastings Foundation for the Hastings High Band Association.

Patricia was born, May 6, 1923 to Fredrick and Helen (Till) Krause in Bemidji, MN. She was a Lieutenant in the Army Nurses Corps and served in Gaum and Sipan during WWII from January 22, 1945 to April 26, 1946. She married Dean Lampman on July 18, 1946 in Hastings, Dean passed away January 1, 1980. She worked as an RN at the Foote Clinic and Midwest Ear Nose & Throat from 1946 to 2012.

She was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church, Hastings and the church circle. She bowled on Thursday nights and was a member of the Quilt Guild and I Love Quilting Club. She loved going for walks with the girls at the mall, taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren, gardening, quilting, crocheting and reading books. She loved working and enjoyed all her patients and coworkers. She was Grand Marshall for the Veterans Parade.

She is survived by daughter, Terri (William E.) Rundle of Hastings, grandson, John M. (Deanna) Rundle, three great grandchildren, Kyra Rundle, Harrison Rundle and Tessa Rundle all of Grand Island, brother-in-law, Charles Walz of Grand Island, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dean, grandson, William McKinley Rundle, sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Phillip Mills and niece, Nancy Wilson.
