Hastings resident, Nanette Benner Wilson, 79, passed away Monday, August 18, 2008 at her home. Services will be Friday, August 22, 2008 at 10 AM at St. Marks Episcopal Pro Cathedral in Hastings, NE with The Rev. Jerry Ness officiating. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, August 21, 2008 from 12 noon to 9 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home with the family present from 6 PM to 8 PM. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brandwilson.com. Nanette was born May 3, 1929 to Henry Preston and Marie (Britt) Benner in Platte City, MO. She graduated from Platte City High School in 1947. She attended Williams-Woods College in Fulton, MO and Marshall College in Marshall, MO. She married Murray Wilson Sr. on June 26, 1949. They moved to Hastings, NE in 1964. They purchased Brand Mortuary and renamed it Brand-Wilson Funeral Home where she was the office manager for many years. They divorced in 1981 and she moved to Colorado Springs, CO. She later moved to Sun Lakes, AZ before coming back to Hastings in 2007. She worked as an office manager and loan officer for several mortgage companies in Colorado Springs, CO, and she also worked in customer service for a health company in AZ. She was a member of St. Marks Episcopal Pro Cathedral in Hastings, NE where she served with the Women of St. Marks. Nanette was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by 1 daughter, Cindy Deitemeyer and husband Jim of Colorado Springs, CO; 2 sons, Murray Wilson Jr. and wife Chris, and Bob Wilson and wife Barb, all of Hastings, NE; 6 grandchildren, Kerri Fama of Chandler, AZ, Kati Purmort of Shawnee, KS, Kelly Robertson of Gretna, NE, Angie Marshall of Lincoln, NE, Melissa Wilson of Omaha, NE and Jennifer Wilson of St. Francis, SD. 2 step-grandchildren, Corey St. John of Tyler,Texas, and Casey St. John of Hastings, NE; 9 Great grandchildren and 3 on the way; as well as her wonderful caregiver, Marcy Kister. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother, Jimmie Jack Benner. Memorials may be given to Mary Lanning Hospice or Saint Marks Episcopal Pro Cathedral.
