Millie K. Anderson

Former Hastings resident Millie K. Anderson, 90 passed into eternal rest with her three sons present on Nov. 17th, 2014 in Omaha, NE.

Born Emilia Millie K. Lesniewski on May 6, 1924 and graduated from Stonington High School in Norwich, Connecticut. She relocated to Chicago in 1946 to pursue modeling and dress designing with RayVogue. She married Dr. Wesley B. Anderson in Chicago in 1948 then relocated to Hastings, NE in 1952.

Millie was a devoted house wife and worked at City National Bank for 25 years in Customer Service, retiring in 1990. Wes and Millie retired to sunny Green Valley, AZ in 1993, married for over 59 years. Millie relocated to Omaha, NE in 2013.

She is survived by her sons, Philip of Spring, TX, Michael of Omaha, NE and Ronald of Dove Canyon, CA, eight grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and sister, Cecilia McGivern of Stonington, CT.

Services are 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Apfel Funeral Home in Hastings. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.apfelfuneralhome.com. Apfel Funeral Home, Hastings is in charge of the arrangements.
