Mildred Dibbern

Mildred Dibbern, 107, of Grand Island died Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at Grand Island Park Place.



Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. Friday at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Grand Island. Burial will be in the Grand Island Cemetery. The Rev. Bill Pavuk will officiate.



Visitation will be from 5 to 7 P.M. Thursday at the Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island.



Memorials are suggested to St. Pauls Lutheran Church or the donors choice.



Mrs. Dibbern was born on September 14, 1909, in Hall County to Otto F. and Marie (Neubert) Wiese. She grew up in Hall County attending school at District 23.



Mildred married Elmer Dibbern on March 18, 1931 at Hastings, Nebraska. The couple made their home in Wood River from 1941 to 1942, and then moved to Grand Island.



She was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church, the Platt Duetsche and the American Legion Auxiliary.



She is survived by her sister-in-law, Phyllis Dibbern of Grand Island; her niece, Inez Berry of Atkinson, NE; and nephew, Gene Boltz of Grand Island.



Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; and two sisters, Augusta Boltz and Mamie Boltz.
