Mary Kay Opp

Mary Kay Opp, 77, of Alda died Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Grand Island.



Memorial service will be 10:30 AM Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island with Reverend Scott Jones officiating. Those in attendance will be required to wear masks and practice proper social distancing.



Mary was born on May 20, 1943 in Grand Island, NE to Lester and Vera (Mader) Wigstone. She grew up in Grand Island and graduated from Grand Island High School.



She was united in marriage to Larry Opp in Grand Island. After which the couple farmed near Alda.



Those left to cherish her memory are her son-in-law, Steven (Donna) Melnick of Grand Island; three grandchildren: Stephanie Roth, Steven Melnick Jr., and Luke Melnick; and sister, Dot Parker.



She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Opp in 2016; and daughter, Kimberly Opp Melnick.
