Hastings resident, Marian A. Johnson, 74, died Monday, October 1, 2007 at her home after a lengthy illness. Services will be Thursday, October 4, 2007, at 10:30 AM at the Peace Lutheran Church, Hastings, NE, with the Rev. Paul Dunbar officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Hastings; NE. Book signing will be Wednesday, October 3, 2007 from 9 AM to 9 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Hastings, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Marian was born, June 28, 1933 to Albert and Mary (Parks) Holl in Kenesaw, NE. She grew up on a farm in the Lowell Community. She married Stanley W. Johnson on December 6, 1953 at the St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Lowell, NE. While living in Minden, NE this union was blessed with 3 children. In the fall of 1970 Marian and Stan co-founded Stans Radiator Service in Hastings, NE. She was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church, in Hastings, NE. She is survived by her husband Stan, 1 son Michael and wife Sandy, all of Hastings, NE 2 daughters, Debra, of Hastings, NE and Cynthia Helzer and husband Tom of Sioux City, IA, 1 grandson, David Helzer, 1 step grandson, Craig Stanton and wife Cathy, 2 step-granddaughters, Andi Stanton all of Omaha, NE and Kim Stanton and 1 step great grandson, Thomas Mendez both of Kearney, NE. 2 brothers, John Arnold Holl of Shelton, NE, and Alan Holl of Idaho, 4 sisters, Elizabeth Benedict and husband Nila of Littleton, CO, Naomi White, Sara Schneider and husband Roger, and Sharon Kile and husband Steve, all of Minden, NE. 2 sisters-in-law Evelyn and husband Robert Anderson of Minden, NE, and Lois and husband Dale Schmidt of Monument, CO, 3 brother in-laws, Eugene and wife Lynn of Wenatchee, WA, Howard and wife Marilyn of Lebanon, OR, and Arvin and wife Linda of Desert Springs, CA and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by, her parents, and 1 infant sister, Carolyn Ruth. Memorials may be given to the Youth Funds of St. Pauls Lutheran Church of Minden, NE or the Peace Lutheran Church in Hastings, NE.
