Hastings resident, Maria L. Rico, 68 of 820 South Pine #27, died Saturday, December 22, 2007 at Perkins Pavilion, GSV, Hastings, NE. Services will be Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at 2 PM at St. Cecelias Catholic Church, with Father James Benton officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 25, 2007 from 6 PM to 9 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Hastings, NE, and 1 hour prior to service time at the church. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Maria was born January 25, 1939 to Jesus and Francesco (Armenta) Rico in Chihuahua, Mexico. She has lived in the Hastings area for 8 years coming from Mexico. She was a housewife. She is survived by 6 daughters, Anna Castillo, Lorena, Idaly, Rosa Ema, Elsa, Carolina Castillo and 4 sons, Jesus Castillo, Joaquin Castillo, Beto Castillo and Luis Castillo. 24 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Ernesto. Memorials may be given to the family.
