Margaret Meinecke Counts

Margaret Meinecke Counts, 90, of Conyers, Ga., died on April 25, 2013. Grave-side services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Grand Island City Cemetery, with the Rev. Bill Pavuk of St. Pauls Lutheran Church officiating. Apfel Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements. Mrs. Counts was born on Nov. 13, 1922, in Grand Island to John and Martha Meinecke. She married Harlan Counts of Wesley, Ark., on Sept. 22, 1945, in Grand Island. Survivors of the immediate family include her husband and one sister, Arlene Meinecke Brunz of San Jose, Calif. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. She will be sorely missed by many friends and relatives. She was baptized, confirmed and married in St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grand Island. They later moved to Arkansas and then later to Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers and three sisters.
