Marc L. Sundermeier

Marc Sundermeier, 62, of Grand Island passed away at home on Wednesday, December 8, 2021.



Memorial services will be 1 PM Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church with Pastor Bill Pavuk officiating. Burial will take place in the Grand Island City Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service time. Casual dress is recommended. Memorials are suggested to the Central Nebraska Humane Society or the family for later designation. Apfel Funeral Home is assisting the family.



He was born on June 6, 1959 in Hot Springs, SD to Gerald and Nancy (Owens) Sundermeier. He graduated from Ravenna High School before going to The College of Hair Design.



He was united in marriage to Marnie Schager in 1993 in Lincoln, NE. The couple made Grand Island their home where Marc worked at Hohnstein’s Hair Center.

Marc enjoyed spending time with his family, watching sports, spending time cooking and spoiling his dogs.



Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Marnie; son, Preston Sundermeier; his parents, Gerald and Nancy Sundermeier; brother, Ken (Jean) Sundermeier, brother-in-law, Hal (Chris) Schager and numerous nieces and nephews.



He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
