Hastings resident, Luella G. Adkins, 98 died Friday, December 19, 2008 at her home. Services will be Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 10 AM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE with Eastern Star services by Acacia Chapter #39. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery. St. Edward, NE. Visitation will be Friday, December 26, 2008 from 5 PM to 9 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Luella was born March 29, 1910 to William and Sarah (Hienkel) Pahrmann in St. Edwards, NE. She graduated from St. Edwards High School. She married Samuel C. Adkins on June 28, 1928, they were married for 63 years, he died in 1991. She worked as a store clerk, telephone operator and housewife. She belonged to the First United Methodist Church and the Acacia Chapter 39 Order Of The Eastern Star for 61 years both in Hastings, NE. She is survived by grandchildren Rick Hill and wife Gloria of Hastings, NE, Randy Hill and wife Traci of Palmer, Alison Schmidt and husband Neal of Houston, TX and Russell Staton and wife Renae of Kenesaw and David Norman of Kearney, Ne. 10 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Samuel, 1 daughter, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Memorials may be given to numerous charities.
