Leonard D. 'Pete' Williams

Hastings resident, Leonard Williams, 89 of 1523 West 12th, died Thursday, February 1, 2007 at Perkins Pavilion, GSV, Hastings. Services will be Saturday, February 24th, 2007, at 10 AM at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hastings, NE. Mr. Willaims was born February 13, 1917 to George and Matilda Williams in Beloit, Wisconsin. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific Front. He later in life had his own woodworking shop. He loved to travel and dance. He is survived by his long time companion Marian Leckwold; and his children, Karen and spouse Paul Nichols, Barbara Mortenson, Judy and spouse Sam Chekos, Jim Williams and Jerry Williams and numerous grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mary Lanning Hospice.
