At our Kenesaw, Jackson-Wilson Location. Holstein resident, Laura K. Aufenkamp, 82, died Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Kenesaw Haven Home in Kenesaw, NE. Services are 3 PM Monday March 17, 2008, at Christ Lutheran Church in Juniata with Rev. Gregory Volzke officiating. Burial will be in the Concordia Cemetery at Juniata. Visitation is 12 noon to 9 Sunday, March 16, 2008 and 9 to noon Monday, March 17, 2008 at the Jackson-Wilson Funeral Home and Monday one hour prior to service time at the church. A memorial will be established. Laura was born July 4, 1925, to Wilhelm and Rosa (Gygax)Ehlers in Wells Canyon, NE. She attended school in Lincoln County. She grew up in the Moorefield areaShe married Vistor W. Aufdenkamp, April 10, 1955, at St. John Lutheran Church in Curtis, NE. Victor died October 21, 2007. They lived most of their married life in Holstein area on a farm. She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Juniata, NE. She is survived by 2 daughters, Darla (Richard) Ham of Henderson, Nevada and Willia Miller of Henderson, Nevada, 2 sons Ralph (Julie) Aufdenkamp of Urbandale, Iowa, and Elbert (Marilee) Aufenkamp of Hastings, NE. 5 grandchildren, Travis and Trevor Miller, Shelby, Thea and Rustin Aufdenkamp, 1 sister, Linda Kahler of North Platte, NE, 1 brother, LaVern Ehlers of North Platte, NE, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Lawrence and Lester and 1 son, Orvin, February 11, 2006.
