Larry B. Dubbs

Larry B. Dubbs, 68, of Gibbon died Friday, August 4, 2017, at CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney.



Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Grace Fellowship Church in Kearney. The Rev. Mitch Ivey will officiate. Burial of ashes will be at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday in the Riverside Cemetery at Gibbon.



Larrys family will greet friends from 5 to 7 P.M. Monday at Grace Fellowship Church.



Apfel Funeral Home of Wood River is assisting the family.



Larry Benton Dubbs was born May 31, 1949 at Kearney, Nebraska to Benton E. and Anna Marie (Wicht) Dubbs.



Larry grew up and attended school in the Gibbon area, graduating from Gibbon High School in 1968. He continued his education for two more years at Hastings Community College.



He married Cathy Marie Heller on September 27, 1969, at Roseland, NE. They made their home on the farm near Gibbon, where Larry enjoyed raising livestock, and keeping company with his dogs.



Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Carmen Dubbs of Gibbon.



Larry was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Cathy in 2006.



Memorials are suggested to the Grace Fellowship Church.
